BOOKS!!! I LUV U BOOKS!!!

This year at St Bens I've begun to notice that i read a lot. Not a lot, only 148 books at the moment, take or give a few (or twenty)!!! A book I really enjoyed was Inheritance, in which the last free dragon rider fights to free Alaegaesia from the clutches of King Galbatorrix. I enjoyed the awesome themes and seeing how the last book in the series of four played out.
Another book I really enjoyed is Death Bringer, by Derek Landy. In this book a new Death Bringer is chosen to save the world and Skulduggery and his assistant Valkyrie have to stop thge Necromancers and foil their plot in one week.
The last one I really enjoyed was Son of Neptune, sequel to The Lost Hero, by Rick Riordan. In this book Percy has wokeen in a roman camp with no idea how he got there. He then has to go on a quest to save the roman camp and his home greek camp.

End of the year!!!!

So, it's almost the end of the year and it's nearly time to say goodbye to St Bens and go to college!!! :( I'm feeling quite nervous about next year because its a new school and St Pats will influence who I become as a grown up!!! I am quite excited though, its going to be awesome!!! I'm going to miss a lot about St Bens, from the extremely dull Jump Jam sessions to the cramped corridoors year 8's have to put up with!!!  I will miss the teachers too!!! How do YOU feel about COLLEGE?!?!?

SPEECHES!!!

This week we are doing speeches in class, to choose the best to be in the speech competition. This year I did quite well, both in writing and performing the speech. I feel my presentation was a slight improvement from last year, as I wasn't shaking (so much)!!! I feel I would like to improve on presentation for next year, so I don't shake and stand confidently. How do you think you did on your speech?

HOBBY!!!!

My hobby is Rugby, the best sport in the world, in my opinion anyway. Rugby is awesome!!! Passing, running, tackling are all part of the awesomest game in the world!!! I really enjoy watching the All Blacks play rugby too!! My favourite All Blacks are probably Piri Weepu, Conrad Smith and Richie McCaw!!! Who are your favourite All Blacks?!?!?!?!

This weeks reflection!!!

This week we have continued with our system from last week, where we are given work and then given slots in which to do it. This week I have been working on my speech. It is pretty hard however, as I am having trouble thinking of ways to make my speech work. So far I've had to rewrite my intro 7 times. I need to work on circumference as it took me longer to do the sheet than any other one. Really all I need to do though is understand more so there are really no steps or goals.

Reflection up to a better standard

This week we have been working under a different school system. We are actually given work at the beginning of the week and have to have finished it by friday. This is to prepare us for College, to get us used to a different system of work. I need to organize my timetable better though because this week it was all over the place. I need to improve in my organization for college. I think I still need to work in maths a bit so i can get streamed next year at college. But all I feel I need to do in maths is just generally improve so i can do well in college.
